Speaker, Author, Executive Advisor

I've had a long and varied career. From my beginning days as a DJ, to my current position as Executive Advisor, I have enjoyed a vast array of positions and responsibilities.

I've been part of technology companies for decades. I was often the first person to take on new roles as part of software development teams. Originally, I was that person that could understand code and write well, so I became a technical writer before there was such a thing at most software companies. I moved into leading QA teams, running Shared Technology departments, including installation development and configuration management--when those were things, Product Management and Portfolio Management.

I'm certified in many areas including Product Management, Quality Assurance, ITIL, and all the requisite agile stuff. I've primarily been part of regulated companies so I have had to pass many many audits. I moved into process  engineering and continuous improvement in the early 2000s. I began using Agile methods in 2003.

I understand how product development companies work--both those that do it well and those that struggle. I worked at one of the 13 companies investigated by the SEC for fraud during the Enron days. And I was part of the team that helped clean up that company. I've helped acquire many companies, and divested parts of others.

I have helped set the processes for companies that moved from on premises delivery to SaaS and cloud and worked to create the processes to align the teams with the evolving infrastructure, while ensuring DevOps and security were built in. And still, I passed more audits.

Now, I get to help organizational leaders move forward on the path to keep them relevant and successful. I speak to many leaders on how to lead in these ever-changing times. I've helped very nimble companies with organizational management, and very traditional companies with incremental movement towards efficient practices.

How can I help you?
